A human-in-the-loop trading system paired with a production-isolated research environment. The two are one project, not two: Signal Trading holds live execution authority; Trading Lab is where hypotheses are tested before they are allowed anywhere near it.
Core architecture
Trading Lab (isolated research)
research freedom, hypotheses, experiments
↓ evidence, not authority
controlled promotion boundary
↓ independent validation + production gates
Signal Trading (production / execution authority)
Trading Lab is not a fork of Signal Trading and not a second production system — it has no path to live execution of its own. A result only reaches production through an explicit handoff, re-validated independently rather than trusted on the strength of a research pass.
What is distinctive
- Separation of live execution, research/promotion, and observability/governance into distinct roles rather than one undifferentiated system
- An explicit risk/promotion gate stands between a research result and production authority — a passing experiment is evidence, not a deployment
- Human-in-the-loop by design at the production boundary, not an autonomous pipeline
- Research stays isolated so experimentation cannot degrade or bypass production safety
Status
Active. Both the production system and the research lab are in ongoing use; the backing repositories are private, so there is no public repository link at this time.
